Jewellery Store is Well-Placed Amongst Local Competitors Thanks to SEO Campaign

While the jewellery sector is enormously competitive, the focus for our client was always going to be on their niche only. That is, handmade jewellery. Furthermore, targeting the broader search terms that have substantial search volumes, simply wasn’t feasible on a modest campaign budget.

Challenge

When this jeweller approached SEO Web Logistics back in February of 2018, they wanted to improve and grow their online presence, but like most small businesses, they had no idea of how to go about this, nor what it involved. Their goal for us was simple; get them ranking well in organic search for keywords that were most important to their business.

Solution

Improving the client’s search engine rankings required a strong content strategy. The first priority was to ensure that all of the major landing pages contained excellent content. Extensive keyword research was performed and keywords were mapped to their respective pages. We then created content outlines that detailed all topics that needed to be covered for each particular page, and passed them onto the client, who then wrote the landing page content.
Following this, a full technical audit of the site was completed to maximise site speed and resolve any lingering issues that were affecting site performance and the user experience.

Once the landing page content had been created, optimised and published, high-quality blog posts were added to the client’s blog on a regular basis. These ongoing blog posts helped to strengthen the client’s topical authority. Additionally, internal links were placed within each blog, pointing to the client’s most valuable landing pages. Doing this ensured that crucial link equity was transferred to these pages, improving their page authority and helping them to rank higher in organic search.

These on-page efforts were supplemented with monthly citations, to further enhance the client’s local SEO performance.
